Lippes Mathias LLP announced today that Marshall J. Kobrin has joined the firm as a senior associate in its Tampa Bay office. He is a member of the firm’s corporate and mergers and acquisitions practice teams. 

Kobrin’s practice spans mergers and acquisitions, corporate structuring and governance, succession planning, and other general corporate matters. He routinely advises clients on issues including entity formation, partnership agreements, and license agreements, and has counseled businesses of various sizes across industries such as business services, home services, e-commerce, and technology. Kobrin has advised on more than 100 lower middle market transactions, often in the $5 million to $50 million range. 

In addition to his corporate work, Kobrin provides strategic counsel on intellectual property issues, including trademark protection, copyright law, and trade secret preservation. 

Before joining Lippes Mathias, Kobrin spent eight years at the Florida office of a Missouri-based law firm, where he provided outsourced general counsel services and represented clients in mergers and acquisitions. 

Kobrin earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2017 and his B.A. from the University of Central Florida in 2014. 

He is active in several professional organizations, including the Florida Bar Association, where he serves as second vice chair of both the Business Law Section’s Corporations, Securities & Financial Services Committee and the Chapter 607 Subcommittee. He is also a member of the American Bar Association, the Hillsborough County Bar Association, and the Sports Lawyers Association. Kobrin has been recognized as a Florida Super Lawyers® Rising Star for 2024–2025 and was inducted into the Marquis Who’s Who® Biographical Register in 2024.
