Lippes Mathias Receives M&A Deal of the Year Award from The M&A Advisor in Connection with Schneider Electric’s Acquisition of Motivair Corporation

Lippes Mathias is proud to announce that it, along with EY-Parthenon, Lazard, and Schneider Electric, will be recognized with the M&A Deal of the Year award in the $500 million to $1 billion category at the 16th Annual International M&A Awards, presented by The M&A Advisor. The recognition highlights the firms’ roles in representing Motivair Corporation in its sale of a controlling interest to Schneider Electric.

Lippes Mathias advised Motivair on key aspects of the transaction, with a deal team led by partners Brian J. Bocketti and Thomas B. Hughes, associates Mitchell J. Ream and MacKenzie A. Hamill, and Devon R. McDonald, director of tax.

The transaction, which closed Feb. 28, 2025, involved Schneider Electric’s acquisition of a controlling interest in Motivair, a global manufacturer of liquid cooling and thermal management systems for high-performance computing. Under the terms of the agreement, Schneider Electric may acquire the remaining ownership of Motivair. The acquisition positions Motivair within Schneider Electric’s Energy Management business.

Award recipients will be honored during a black-tie gala held in conjunction with the 2025 Leadership in Dealmaking Summit, scheduled for Sept. 15 and 16 in New York City. The two-day program includes keynote discussions, one-on-one meetings, and panels featuring professionals in the M&A industry.
