Bio
Ms. Ponterio is an Associate in the firm’s Corporate and Securities Practice Teams. Her practice focuses on representing private companies in a range of corporate transactions, including debt and equity financings and mergers and acquisitions. She also advises clients on general corporate and commercial matters, including corporate governance, company formation, minority investments, and other day-to-day legal needs of growing businesses.
Before joining the firm as an attorney, Ms. Ponterio served as a law clerk in the firm’s corporate department. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University at Buffalo School of Law magna cum laude, where she was awarded the Order of the Coif, recognizing students who graduate in the top ten percent of their class. Elyse received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Canisius University summa cum laude, where she conducted extensive research and presented her work at conferences nationwide.
