Bio
Anna Antonova is an Associate in the Intellectual Property Practice Team at Lippes Mathias LLP, where she focuses her practice on copyright and trademark litigation and represents brand owners before federal courts nationwide, the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, and the International Trade Commission.
Ms. Antonova also maintains an active counseling practice, guiding startups, nonprofits, and Fortune 500 companies at every stage of the intellectual property lifecycle, including clearance and prosecution, global portfolio strategy, enforcement and anti-counterfeiting, and licensing. Her industry experience spans beauty, fashion, consumer goods, entertainment, technology, hospitality, and financial services sectors.
Before joining Lippes Mathias, Ms. Antonova was a trademark and copyright associate at a national law firm where she handled portfolios, enforcement and litigations for household-name brands.
As a law student, Ms. Antonova was an intern on the intellectual property enforcement team of a global luxury conglomerate, where she helped police iconic trademarks across its fashion and beauty portfolio. She also served as an extern in the New York State Office of the Attorney General, working on high-profile litigations and investigations. She served as Editor-in-Chief of the Cardozo Arts & Entertainment Law Journal and was a research assistant in fashion law to Professor Barbara Kolsun and in design law to Professor Christopher Buccafusco.
Ms. Antonova entered the legal field from the intersection of business management and brand communications. She previously held a practice management role at an elite international law firm, where she designed strategy and workflows to improve efficiency and delivery of legal services. Before that, she worked in public relations, conceiving and executing media campaigns for beauty, fashion, and consumer goods brands. That foundation gives her an intuitive understanding of how brands are built and perceived in the marketplace.
