Lippes Mathias today announced that Anna Antonova, Ethan D. Bannister, Christiane (Christi) S. Cardoza Brundage, and Carlyn (Carly) E. Hazelip have joined the firm, expanding its intellectual property, insurance recovery, counseling & litigation, Indian law, and labor & employment practice teams across several offices. 

About Anna Antonova 


Anna Antonova has joined the firm’s New York City office as an associate on the intellectual property team. Her practice focuses on copyright and trademark litigation, enforcement, and prosecution. She advises clients on building and protecting intellectual property portfolios, with experience across industries including fashion, entertainment, technology, hospitality, and financial services. Antonova earned her J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and her B.A., cum laude, from Boston University. She is a member of the New York City Bar Association and The Copyright Society and was named a 2024 New York Metro Super Lawyers® Rising Star. She is fluent in Russian and Ukrainian. 

About Ethan D. Bannister 


Based in Rochester, Ethan D. Bannister has joined Lippes Mathias as an associate on the insurance recovery, counseling & litigation team. His practice includes insurance coverage, risk management, and counseling for clients navigating insurance-related legal matters. Bannister previously practiced civil litigation in Texas with a focus on real estate and insurance defense. He earned his J.D., cum laude, from St. Mary’s University School of Law and his B.A., magna cum laude, from Grove City College. He is admitted to practice in Texas and is a member of the San Antonio Bar Association. 

About Christiane (Christi) S. Cardoza Brundage 


Christiane (Christi) S. Cardoza Brundage is an associate in the Indian law practice team, based in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office. She advises tribal clients nationwide on matters including healthcare, gaming and economic development, Indian land, litigation, and tribal governance. Cardoza Brundage previously served as an attorney adviser at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and held legislative roles with U.S. Senators and the Office of Hawaiian Affairs, focusing on Indigenous policy and advocacy. She earned her J.D., cum laude, from American University Washington College of Law, her M.S. from the University of Notre Dame Eck Institute for Global Health, and her B.S. from the University of Notre Dame. 

About Carlyn (Carly) E. Hazelip 


Carlyn (Carly) E. Hazelip has joined the Jacksonville office as an associate in the labor & employment practice team. She represents employers in matters involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage and hour claims, as well as agency investigations and arbitration. Hazelip previously served as an assistant state attorney in Florida’s Fourth Judicial Circuit and practiced at a national law firm as a litigator. She earned her J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and her B.A., cum laude, from Florida State University. She is admitted to practice in Florida.
