Lippes Mathias is pleased to share that its managing partner and chairman, Kevin J. Cross, has been ranked #69 by Buffalo Business First on its 2024 Power 250 list. Every year, Buffalo Business First compiles this list of people making changes and improvements throughout Buffalo and Western New York. The list changes every year based on events, news, and promotions. This is the third consecutive year that Mr. Cross has been named to the list.

Mr. Cross has overseen Lippes Mathias’ growth into one of the top 300 largest law firms in the United States since assuming the role of managing partner in 2015. Under his leadership, Lippes Mathias has grown from 40 attorneys in one office to nearly 200 attorneys across 14 offices nationally. Mr. Cross’ focus on maintaining a “different” law firm culture that’s collegiate, collaborative, and accommodating of employees’ unique needs has been a driving factor in many attorneys’ decision to join the firm. Mr. Cross made headlines in 2023 as he led the charge in two large-scale combinations with Fay Sharpe LLP, a Cleveland-based intellectual property firm, and Andreozzi Bluestein LLP, a tax controversy boutique located in Clarence. Mr. Cross serves as the president of the Western New York Scout Council’s board of directors and is a member of the boards of directors of The Buffalo Club and the Buffalo Niagara Partnership.
