Lippes Mathias LLP managing partner and chairman, Kevin J. Cross, is now the highest-ranked law firm managing partner on Buffalo Business First’s 14th annual Power 250 list, where he is ranked No. 57. This marks his fifth consecutive year on the prestigious roster of influential Western New York leaders and a five-spot rise from his ranking in the 2025 edition.

As managing partner and chairman since 2015, Mr. Cross leads Lippes Mathias' Executive Committee and oversees the firm's offices, attorneys, and staff nationwide. He coordinates strategic direction, implements firm initiatives, and manages attorney recruitment while fostering a collaborative culture focused on client objectives. 

Under Mr. Cross' leadership, Lippes Mathias has grown from a regional firm to a national platform with nearly 230 attorneys across 17 offices. Recent expansion includes combinations with West Palm Beach-based Ward Damon, P.L., and Syracuse health law firm CCBLaw. 

Mr. Cross serves on the boards of Invest Buffalo Niagara, The Buffalo Club, and Buffalo Niagara Partnership. He holds leadership positions with the Great Falls Council as president and co-chairs Scouting America's Local Council Chairs' Cabinet. He also serves on the Kenneth A. Cross Scholarship Selection Committee at Buffalo State College and the Milak Memorial Scholarship board.
