Carmen Alexander Vacco

Carmen A. Vacco focuses his practice on government investigations and compliance matters, internal investigations, and civil litigation.  He represents defendants, targets, witnesses, and businesses during civil and criminal investigations and related litigation brought by federal and state entities by assisting clients with responses to subpoenas, search warrants, and civil investigative demands, and by representing them in court. 

As a member of the Government & Corporate Investigations Team, Mr. Vacco has also challenged vague or unconstitutional New York State laws through federal and state lawsuits, including challenges to state vaccine mandates for healthcare workers.  In addition, Mr. Vacco routinely represents clients charged with certain criminal charges, including DWI. 

Mr. Vacco has also represented multiple municipalities in Executive Law Section 94-c proceedings.  In this capacity, Mr. Vacco counsels his clients through the fast-track permit process for siting major renewable energy projects in New York State. 

Mr. Vacco also has significant experience with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and other consumer protection statutes.
