Bio:

Andrea H. Vossler is a Partner in the Corporate & Securities Practice Team at Lippes Mathias Wexler Friedman LLP, where she Co-Leads the Firm’s Startup and Venture Capital Practice Team. Ms. Vossler has extensive experience working with entrepreneurs, startups, later-stage companies, investors and funds across a variety of stages, sectors, and geographies. Her practice experience includes advising clients on general corporate matters, capital raising, and exit transactions; representing investors in equity and debt financings; representing sponsors in fund formations; and extensive M&A experience. She began her career in  New York City at Mayer Brown LLP, a leading international law firm, where she worked on large-scale M&A transactions, private-equity financings and IPOs. Andrea serves as General Counsel to Impact Capital, a venture capital fund, and Buffalo Capital Partners, an investment entity.

Ms. Vossler is also a Principal and Senior Advisor in D21 Partners, a consulting company focused on helping businesses flourish by applying a variety of cutting edge strategies informed by insights from social neuroscience and positive psychology. Her work with D21 includes succession planning, governance, compensation, and communication. She particularly enjoys working with rising leaders and women in business.

Ms. Vossler is a frequent speaker at professional, university and corporate-sponsored events, and has co-authored numerous articles on topics of interest to businesses, including presenting or authoring the following: Crypto Meets Venture Capital—A Legal Overview,” Blockchain Blocktable (Featuring Emin Gün Sirer), 2018; “Venture, Angel or ICO,” The 43North Podcast, 2018; “For startups, there’s no “I” in team, Buffalo Law Journal, Interview, 2018; “The Neuroscience of Start-ups: A Primer for Attorneys (and Other Professionals),” New York State Bar Journal, 2017; "Advising Family Businesses in the Twenty-First Century: An Introduction to “Stage 4 Planning” Strategies, University at Buffalo Law Review, 2017; and “Funding for Women Entrepreneurs,” Buffalo Business First, 2016. Ms. Vossler is the recipient of numerous awards, including Legal Elite of WNY, 2018, Upstate New York Super Lawyers® Rising Star, 2015 – 2018, and Upstate Venture Ecosystem Award Finalist, Community Catalyst, 2018.

Ms. Vossler received her law degree from Georgetown University Law Center (Top Third of her Class, Law Journal, Women's Rights Clinic) and B.A. from the University at Buffalo (Summa Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa, and Full Academic Scholarship). A Fulbright Scholar (France), she also trained at Harvard Law School’s Negotiation Program. She is an Executive in Residence at the University at Buffalo’s School of Management, and active on many company and community boards. She is currently a Director, Corporate Secretary, and General Counsel to the Upstate Capital Association of New York and a Director and Vice Chair of the Western New York Women’s Foundation.
