As a member of the Intellectual Property Team at Lippes Mathias, Ryan focuses his practice on patent law throughout various technology sectors, including biomedical, biomechanical, electrical, mechanical, electromechanical, software, and computer technologies. Ryan also has a growing domestic and international trademark practice. Ryan provides advice to clients regarding management of their Intellectual Property portfolios.

Ryan advises clients ranging in size from individual inventors to multinational corporations on matters involving patentability, freedom to operate, validity, and other intellectual property landscape issues. Ryan has managed trademark portfolios for small and large companies and also provides analysis to similar marks for opposition proceedings. 

In addition, Ryan is experienced in drafting and prosecuting domestic and international patent applications and filing appeal briefs, and regularly conducts personal interviews with examiners at the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
