Sara A. Qureshi Joins Lippes Mathias as Counsel in Tampa Bay, Strengthening Firm’s Private Equity and Independent Sponsor Teams

Lippes Mathias today announced that Sara A. Qureshi has joined the firm as counsel in its Tampa Bay office. Her addition strengthens the firm’s private equity and independent sponsor teams, expanding its capabilities in transactional and governance matters. Qureshi is the second recent hire in the Tampa Bay office, following the addition of Matthew H. Maizes in May 2025.
Qureshi concentrates her practice on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, partnerships, corporate governance, and general corporate matters. She has advised on more than 150 transactions in the lower to mid-middle market, with enterprise values typically ranging from $5 million to more than $200 million. Her clients include private equity firms, family offices, independent sponsors, and public and private companies across industries such as healthcare services, medical devices, construction, transportation, industrial products, and software.
Before joining Lippes Mathias, Qureshi practiced in the corporate and tax group at a Tampa-based law firm and previously served as a business and tax attorney at a regional firm in Fort Myers. She earned an LL.M. in taxation from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, a J.D., magna cum laude, from Barry University School of Law, and a B.S., magna cum laude, from Florida Gulf Coast University.
She is a member of the Florida Bar Association, Hillsborough County Bar Association, and the American Bar Association’s mergers and acquisitions committee. Qureshi also serves as co-chair of the emerging professionals committee for the Association for Corporate Growth Tampa Bay chapter and is a founding board member of Women in Business of Tampa Bay. Her community involvement includes roles with Tampa Connection and the Children’s Home Network young professionals committee, as well as prior service on the board of directors of Abuse Counseling & Treatment, Inc.
Qureshi has been named a Rising Star by Florida Super Lawyers from 2020 to 2025 and was previously recognized by Naples Illustrated as a Top Lawyer in 2019 and 2020.
