BUFFALO, NY – Lippes Mathias Wexler Friedman LLP announced today the promotions of Elise M. Edwards and Andrew J. Olek to Senior Associate.

Ms. Edwards focuses primarily on healthcare and life science business transactions, healthcare compliance issues, and general business transactions. Her experience includes counseling hospitals, physicians and physician group practices, health plans, start-ups and general businesses on M&A transactions, insurance regulation, corporate finance, information technology matters, compliance matters and reorganizations. Ms. Edwards also regularly assists not-for-profit organizations in all aspects of their organization and operation.

Mr. Olek assists clients on business formation, including limited liability companies, and corporations and advises businesses and entrepreneurs on entity and internal organizational structure, financing options, contract negotiation, and general business planning. He has guided clients through the start-up phase, buy-sell agreements, and merger and acquisition negotiations, as well as franchising opportunities. Mr. Olek also assists clients with protecting and licensing their intellectual property rights.
