Lippes Mathias Wexler Friedman LLP Partners to Present at Cybersecurity 2.0 Seminar

BUFFALO, NY –Lippes Mathias Wexler Friedman LLP attorneys Dennis C. Vacco and Jennifer C. Persico will make a presentation at the Buffalo Niagara Partnership’s 2017 Cybersecurity seminar on Wednesday March 15, from 8-10 a.m. at the Buffalo Niagara Partnership (257 West Genesee St., Buffalo).

The event will focus on preparing businesses to defend against cybersecurity attacks, such as data breaches, security vulnerabilities, as well as a walkthrough of the containment, control and monitoring period. Attendees will be able to experience a simulated cyber data security breach, learn about the various tools to protect computer networks and tips to starting a cybersecurity program.

A former New York State attorney general and partner at Lippes Mathias Wexler Freidman LLP, Mr. Vacco concentrates his practice on governmental investigations, working with clients to ensure compliance with the complex and ever-changing rules of state and federal governments. He also works with clients who have been targeted for investigation by the government.  Mr. Vacco assists companies in navigating cybersecurity issues, including the theft of electronically stored intellectual property, proprietary information, and personally identifiable information for both consumers and employees.

Ms. Persico, a Partner with Lippes Mathias Wexler Friedman, serves as Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice Group Co-Leader. She concentrates her practice in commercial litigation, including contract claims on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants. Ms. Persico also handles premises liability claims, corporate law, municipal law, foreclosures and real estate. She has had extensive experience in resolving complex disputes on behalf of her clients using both litigation and non-litigation methods.
