Scott V. Carroll, founding health care partner and technology and life sciences practice team leader at Lippes Mathias LLP, has been named an Excellence in Health Care honoree by Buffalo Business First.

About Scott V. Carroll 

Scott V. Carroll is the founding health care partner at Lippes Mathias and team leader of the firm's technology and life sciences practice. Carroll brings more than 30 years of experience in the health care and life sciences practice group to his clients. He has represented health plans, medical groups, hospitals, integrated delivery systems, pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers, laboratories, research institutes and specialty service organizations. Carroll represents management service organizations and entities involved in MSO transactions for physician, dental and veterinary services. He has counseled organizations on complex health care regulatory matters, corporate finance and mergers, acquisitions, investments, joint ventures and collaborations, as well as research, development, distribution, and production and manufacturing agreements. 

Carroll has handled large multi-state plaintiff and defense side health care litigation matters, as well as civil and criminal fraud and abuse investigations and qui tam matters. 

Prior to joining Lippes Mathias, Carroll served as general counsel for a national specialty health services management company and as assistant general counsel to a New York regional BlueCross BlueShield plan and holding company. In addition to those general counsel roles, his managerial responsibilities included oversight of corporate and product development, quality management, human resources and compliance business functions.
