Lippes Mathias LLP is pleased to announce that Andrew J. Olek, a partner in the firm’s Buffalo office, has been appointed to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Western New York (RMHC of WNY) Board of Directors. Olek is also a member of the board’s governance committee. 

RMHC of WNY is part of a global network of Ronald McDonald Houses and programs that serve nearly 6 million children and families annually. Since 1974, the network of local chapters has focused on making children happier and healthier by keeping families together and providing them with a place to rest and heal. These programs are tailored to meet the urgent needs of each community and are currently active in more than 64 countries and regions across the globe. 

About Andrew J. Olek 

Andrew J. Olek is a partner at Lippes Mathias and is a member of the firm’s corporate practice team and intellectual property practice team. He counsels clients on a variety of business matters, including business structuring and reorganization, mergers and acquisitions, private equity and independent sponsor transactions, financing and capital investment, and business succession planning. He also regularly provides counsel to clients on franchise law, representing both franchisors and franchisees. Additionally, Olek counsels clients on a variety of issues related to intellectual property rights, including trademark and brand protection, copyright protection, licensing, software development, and software as a service (SaaS) agreements, and website and mobile app privacy policies and terms of use. Olek advises clients on intellectual property matters related to emerging technologies such as NFTs and artificial intelligence, and is the team leader of the firm’s artificial intelligence practice team.
