Lippes Mathias today announced that Christopher A. Walker, a partner in the firm’s Jacksonville office, has been appointed to the Florida State College at Jacksonville Foundation Board. 

The FSCJ Foundation, established in 1972, supports the College’s academic programs and students through scholarships, grants and community engagement. Its mission is to expand access to education and remove barriers that limit student success, with hundreds of students receiving financial support annually through donor contributions. 

About Christopher A. Walker

Christopher A. Walker advises investors, financial institutions, developers, builders, contractors, condominiums and civic associations in the development, negotiation and financing of complex real estate transactions, including multifamily housing, affordable housing, commercial and industrial properties, and senior housing. His work frequently involves debt structuring, public finance components and economic development matters. 

He represents for-profit and non-profit developers on portfolio transactions, low-income housing tax credits, joint ventures, HUD financing, HAP contracts and institutional financing. Walker also counsels management companies on compliance, insurance and operational issues related to real estate ventures. He assists clients in raising capital and navigating private placements, acquisitions, joint ventures and public financing. His client base includes private investors, family offices, hedge funds and real estate investment trusts. Walker regularly advises U.S. and Canadian financial institutions on real estate and asset-secured lending transactions and has extensive experience with SBA lending. He also represents borrowers and lenders in loan restructuring and recapitalization. 

Over the course of his career, Walker has closed billions of dollars in real estate, stock and other acquisition and financing transactions across the United States.
