Lippes Mathias LLP today announced that Ricky P. Luthra, an experienced Buffalo mergers and acquisitions attorney, has joined the firm as a partner in its Buffalo office. Luthra is a member of the firm’s corporate, corporate governance and compliance, franchising and licensing, independent sponsor, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, startups and venture capital, health care, sports, entertainment, and hospitality, as well as general counsel services practice teams.

Luthra advises buyers, sellers, and investors on M&A transactions, managing all stages of a deal from letter of intent through closing. As a corporate lawyer, he also counsels clients on business formations, commercial contracts, employment agreements, and buy/sell and operating agreements.

In addition, Luthra works with startups, closely held companies, and family-owned businesses on governance and succession planning, helping founders and owners manage transitions and position their companies for long-term growth. His experience spans industries including healthcare and physician practices, hospitality, restaurants, and other service-based businesses. He also serves as outside general counsel to several companies, offering practical, business-focused legal advice.
