Bio
Samantha is a Senior Associate at Lippes Mathias, where she advises high-net-worth individuals, families, family offices, estates, and closely held businesses on a broad range of domestic and international tax matters. Her practice focuses on tax-efficient estate planning, estate and gift tax matters, business succession planning, and tax-sensitive planning for closely held businesses and their owners. She also advises clients on U.S. federal income tax, international tax matters, and international information reporting, and assists clients with tax matters that arise in connection with significant life and business transitions.
Before joining Lippes Mathias, Samantha served as an Attorney with the Internal Revenue Service's Office of Chief Counsel in the Large Business & International Division. There, she advised examination teams within the Global High Wealth and Large Partnership practices, gaining experience with complex cross-border tax issues, partnership taxation, and sophisticated tax structures. Samantha's government experience provides her with a unique perspective on how the IRS evaluates complex tax planning and compliance matters, which she brings to her work helping clients develop thoughtful, tax-efficient strategies for preserving wealth and planning for the future.
