LMWF Attorneys Scott E. Friedman, Amy Habib Rittling and Christina H. Arthurs to Lead Discussion at UB Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership
“We think there are numerous advantages to having a smartly constructed governance platform, including both a board of directors with some independent members that can provide non-biased advice, along with a family council that offers all family members an opportunity to get engaged in constructively helping the family and understanding its business,” said Friedman. “Our work over the years with family businesses in Western New York and across the country suggests that thoughtfully focusing on governance can be one of the best steps a family business can take to help it succeed over the generations."
As the firm’s chairman and CEO, Mr. Friedman focuses his practice on various legal matters, including assisting entrepreneurs and startup companies, as well as consulting with family owned businesses.
Ms. Habib Rittling concentrates her practice on labor and general business law and litigation, counseling and advising employers on all aspects of employment relationships and employment practices and policies.
Ms. Arthurs focuses her practice on trust and estate administration and litigation, as well as guardianship matters and adoptions.
