Lippes Mathias LLP is pleased to announce that it has added Matthew L. Brust to its West Palm Beach office, where he concentrates his practice on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, partnerships, corporate governance, and general corporate matters. 

Brust brings experience advising private equity firms, independent sponsors, and private companies on acquisitions, dispositions, and structuring, with a focus on the lower to middle market. He has represented clients across a range of industries, including HVAC, roofing, landscaping, healthcare, software, waterproofing and foundation repair, manufacturing, and waste services. In addition to transactional work, he routinely serves as outside general counsel to clients on day-to-day contract and commercial matters, governance, and operational issues. 

Prior to joining Lippes Mathias, Brust practiced in the corporate and M&A group at an Am Law 50 law firm in West Palm Beach and previously served as a business and tax attorney at a regional firm in Fort Myers, Florida. 

Brust earned his Master of Laws in taxation from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and his J.D., cum laude, from Florida Coastal School of Law. He has been recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in Florida for mergers and acquisitions from 2023 through 2025, and was named to Palm Beach Illustrated's Top Lawyers list in M&A law in 2025 and Naples Illustrated's Top Lawyers list in business and corporate law in 2023 and 2024. He is a member of the Florida Bar's business law and tax sections and the Palm Beach County Bar Association.
