Benjamin T. White Named to Buffalo Business First’s 40 Under 40 Class of 2025

Lippes Mathias LLP is pleased to announce that Benjamin T. White, partner and leader of the firm’s sports, entertainment & hospitality practice team, has been named to Buffalo Business First’s 40 Under 40 class of 2025.

Now in its 34th year, the 40 Under 40 program honors Western New York professionals under the age of 40 who have demonstrated significant business and community leadership. This year’s honorees were selected from the largest group of nominations in over a decade and will be recognized at a luncheon on November 20 at the Hyatt Regency Buffalo, sponsored by Cornerstone Community Federal Credit Union.

Benjamin T. White is a partner at Lippes Mathias LLP and leads the firm’s sports, entertainment & hospitality practice team. He is also a member of the firm’s corporate and mergers & acquisitions practice teams. White focuses his practice on corporate development, mergers and acquisitions, and small and mid-market private equity transactions.

He has extensive sports, entertainment, and hospitality industry experience after serving as Assistant General Counsel for Pegula Sports & Entertainment, LLC, a sports and entertainment management company for multiple professional sports organizations and entertainment properties, including the Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabres, Buffalo Bandits, Rochester Americans, Rochester Knighthawks, KeyBank Center, and BlueCross Arena at the War Memorial.

In that role, White was responsible for drafting and negotiating various sponsorship and naming rights agreements, stadium and arena license agreements, promoter agreements, media rights agreements, and the formation and sale of certain entertainment, restaurant, and hospitality properties. He also devotes a significant amount of time to handling purchase agreements, franchising, and licensing agreements, as well as other agreements involved in corporate and financial transactions.

White earned his J.D., cum laude, from New York Law School in 2013 and his B.S.B.A., magna cum laude, from the University at Buffalo School of Management in 2010. He is a member of the Sports Lawyers Association and serves on the boards of the Collegiate Hockey Foundation and the Hilary Grace Foundation, where he also acts as legal counsel.
