BUFFALO, NEW YORK – Andrew M. Wilson, partner, and co-leader of the Lippes Mathias’ immigration practice team, has been appointed to American Immigration Lawyers Association National’s publications committee and will begin serving a one-year term.

Andrew serves as a co-leader of Lippes Mathias’ immigration practice group and has been listed in Best Lawyers in America for immigration law, the International Who’s Who for corporate immigration law, the International Who’s Who of business lawyers and New York Super Lawyers—Upstate. He has been named Buffalo Immigration Law “Lawyer of the Year” by Best Lawyers in 2013, 2018 and 2021. He currently serves as an AILA Local CBP Liaison and has also been active in SHRM as a Panel Member on its Global Special Expertise Panel and Corporate Social Responsibility Special Expertise Panel. Rather than taking a transactional approach, Andrew focuses on building long-lasting relationships with clients as a trusted advisor. He represents companies, major league sports teams and individuals in all areas of immigration law.

American Immigration Lawyers Association National’s Publications Committee

The Publications Committee is a working group whose primary function is to serve as peer reviewers, editors, and/or updaters on a variety of AILA publications throughout the year. Although committee members generally are not expected to author material for AILA publications in the first instance, they are sometimes called upon to contribute/update material to publications in the area of their expertise where other authors have dropped out or cannot be found. With respect to publications planned for future release, committee members are asked to assist in content development by reviewing previous editions or proposed manuscripts and providing suggestions and feedback to the authors. Committee members also are tasked with looking at the “big picture”—they are encouraged to discuss AILA’s current publications offerings, suggest improvements, suggest potential new titles, and assist in planning and development of those. In addition, committee member feedback may be sought in connection with AILALink—AILA’s online immigration research database.
