Lippes Mathias LLP earned seven awards at the Public Relations Society of America Buffalo Niagara Chapter's annual Excalibur Awards, which recognize excellence in communications from Western New York's leading professionals and organizations. 

Managing partner and chairman Kevin J. Cross received the Outstanding Executive Award, which honors a Western New York business executive who recognizes and supports the role of public relations in their organization and throughout the community. Communications manager Alexander Dean received the Ann R. Carden Rising Star Award, given to an outstanding newcomer to the public relations field who has demonstrated leadership potential through service to PRSA and the community during their initial years in the profession. 

The firm received two silver campaign awards, two silver tactics awards, and one bronze campaign award. In the campaigns category, Lippes Mathias won silver for "From New Market to New Matters: Elevating Brand and Practice Through Thought Leadership Organization" in marketing products or services, and "Expanding Our Reach, Deepening Our Roots: Lippes Mathias LLP Breaks New Ground in West Palm Beach" in integrated communications. 

The firm's silver tactics awards included "Estate Planning Awareness Week 2024: A Strategic, In-House Approach to LinkedIn Excellence" in social media strategy and "A Tribute that Transformed Appreciation into Brand Impact" in creative tactics. Lippes Mathias won bronze for "Brewing Culture, Building Reputation: Lippes Mathias Humanizes Its Brand Through Short-Form Video" in reputation/brand management. 

The Excalibur Awards celebrate programs, projects, and professionals that strengthen the communications field across Western New York. Winners were honored Thursday, Sept. 25, 2025.
