BUFFALO, NY – Scott E. Friedman, Lippes Mathias Wexler Friedman LLP’s Chairman and CEO, will participate in an upcoming panel discussion titled “The Owner’s Journey” presented by U.S. Trust. Held October 4, 2016, at Sarasota Yacht Club in Sarasota, Florida, the panel will provide insights and strategies for the challenges business owners face when deciding what the next step is for their business.

In addition to his leadership role at the firm, Mr. Friedman works on a variety of business transactions, strategically working to help position companies for growth and financial success. A large focus of his practice is spent providing counsel to family owned businesses. Mr. Friedman has published five books and numerous articles on the topic of family businesses and has developed planning strategies that are now part of the curriculum at the University at Buffalo's Family Business Center where he is an Executive in Residence.

Mr. Friedman received his J.D. from Washington University School of Law and his LLM from University of Pennsylvania Law School.
