BUFFALO, NY –Lippes Mathias Wexler Friedman LLP is pleased to announce that Blaine S. Schwartz, a partner with the firm, has been appointed as chairman of the Jewish Family Service of Buffalo & Erie County’s Board of Directors.

Jewish Family Service of Buffalo & Erie County, New York (JFS) is a nonsectarian, not for profit, community-based health and social service provider that has served the Western New York community since 1862. JFS is a multifaceted agency offering a broad range of complementary, integrated services delivered by highly qualified professionals in psychiatry, psychology, nursing, social work and rehabilitation counseling.

Mr. Schwartz is a partner in the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group, where he handles commercial real estate matters for clients throughout the country. Before joining LMWF, Mr. Schwartz served 14 years as Senior Counsel for the largest privately owned commercial real estate developer in the United States.

In addition to his involvement with Jewish Family Service, Mr. Schwartz currently serves as Vice President of the Bureau of Jewish Education and is a member of the Board of Governors and Executive Committee of the Jewish Federation of Greater Buffalo.
