Lippes Mathias today announced that Thomas R. Ray, a partner in the firm’s Jacksonville, Fla. office, has been recognized with the Jacksonville Bar Association’s 2023 Professionalism Award. This prestigious award is presented to a lawyer who has embodied high professional standards, and who has advanced the goals of professionalism in the legal profession. Ray’s receipt of the award was announced at a luncheon hosted by the Jacksonville Bar Association on June 15, 2023.

Ray, who has more than 40 years of practical experience, focuses on construction and lien law litigation in state and federal court; surety bond claims; construction defect claims; personal injury, and mediation of Circuit Court disputes. His labor relations and management law experience include defense of wage and hour violation claims, OSHA citations, EEOC discrimination and civil rights claims, wrongful termination, retaliatory termination for filing workers’ compensation claims, ERISA claims, and violations of employment agreements.
