BUFFALO, NY – Carol E. Heckman, a partner at Lippes Mathias Wexler Friedman LLP, was appointed to the board of directors of the Catholic Health System.
Formed in 1998, Catholic Health System is a non-profit healthcare system that provides care to Western New Yorkers across a network of hospitals, primary care centers, imaging centers, and several other community ministries.
With 40 years of experience as a trial and appellate attorney, including eight years on the federal court bench, Judge Heckman (Ret.) focuses her legal practice at Lippes Mathias on government investigations, arbitrations and mediations, federal court litigation, and Indian law. She serves as the firm’s Indian Law Practice team leader, and is on the American Arbitration Association’s panel of arbitrators and mediators.
