Firm partners to conduct lecture on wealth management at the University at Buffalo

BUFFALO, NY – Colleen K. Mattrey and Elizabeth L. Perry, partners at Lippes Mathias Wexler Friedman LLP, will present at the “Wealth Transfer and Estate Efficiency: What You Need to Know” lecture on Tuesday, October 20, 2015, at UB’s Center for Tomorrow (North Campus). Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. and the program will run 9-10:30 a.m. The lecture is being sponsored by UB’s Office of Gift Planning and Jacobs School of Medicine & Biomedical Sciences.

The lecture is free and will focus on how to create, preserve, protect and control personal wealth. Topics will include tax shelters; accumulation strategies; asset segregation and creditor protection; legacy planning; and, intergenerational planning and family values. The presentation will be followed by a question and answer session.

Ms. Mattrey focuses her practice on litigation and dispute resolution, representing individual physicians, nurses, hospitals, medical groups and other allied health professionals against malpractice claims, as well as general litigation matters involving institutions such as nursing home negligence and property liability matters.

Ms. Perry concentrates her practice on trusts, estates and elder law, working with clients to create estate plans tailored to meet personal goals and objectives with a focus on income, estate, gift and generation-skipping transfer tax issues.
