Berj Parseghian, a partner at Lippes Mathias LLP and member of the firm’s environment and energy practice team, moderated a panel at the 2025 Environmental Regulation and Sustainability Conference hosted by The Business Council of New York State. The event took place October 30–31 at the Saratoga Springs City Center. 

Parseghian served as moderator for the session titled “Emerging Contaminants – Setting Regulatory and Funding Priorities,” held on October 31 from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. 

About Berj K. Parseghian 

Berj K. Parseghian is a partner in the firm’s environment and energy practice team. Parseghian is an experienced litigator who concentrates his practice on lawsuits brought under federal and state environmental laws related to contaminated sites, including the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act of 1980 (CERCLA), the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), and the Clean Water Act (CWA), and product liability and toxic tort litigation alleging exposure to chemicals, talc, asbestos, and Legionella. Parseghian represents energy, chemical, manufacturing, and governmental clients in some of the largest and most complex environmental, product liability, and toxic tort matters across the country. He has significant experience with sites and waterways involving dioxins and furans, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), 1,4-dioxane, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). He has represented clients, as plaintiffs and defendants, in citizen suits under RCRA and the CWA. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Michigan and graduate studies in chemistry at the California Institute of Technology. 

Prior to joining Lippes Mathias LLP, Parseghian gained more than 20 years of experience litigating a broad range of complex matters in both courtroom litigation and administrative practice, including environmental, product liability, toxic tort, and energy regulatory matters. He has represented clients in a wide range of industries, including energy, chemicals, consumer products, refining, banking, government, healthcare, and beauty products.
