All-Tribes Consultation Calls with the Departments of Treasury and Interior

On March 31, 2020, Assistant Secretary-Indian Affairs Tara Sweeney, issued a notice to Tribal leaders for consultation with the Department of Treasury, as required by the CARES Act (Act). The Act set aside $8 billion for Tribal governments to assist Tribes in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. Assistant Secretary Sweeney invites all Tribal leaders to participate in the consultation sessions either by phone or by written comment.
The first consultation session call is scheduled for April 2, 2020, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The second consultation session is scheduled for April 9, 2020, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The call-in number and participant code is the same for each session. For those that are unable to participate in the consultation sessions, written comments are to be submitted to consultation@bia.gov and tribal.consult@treasury.gov no later than April 13, 2020.
