Three Lippes Mathias Attorneys Admitted to Practice in New York State

Lippes Mathias today announced that three of its former law clerks—Christopher M. Fisher, Alexis B. Telga, and Madelyn M. VanDorpe—have been admitted to practice in New York State and have transitioned to the role of associate at the firm.

Christopher M. Fisher is a member of the firm’s litigation practice team in the firm’s Buffalo, NY office, where he focuses his practice primarily in bankruptcy, commercial, and municipal litigation, as well as issues surrounding land disposition and real property tax enforcement. Fisher is a graduate of the University at Buffalo School of Law and received his bachelor’s degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology. While attending law school, Fisher was a participant in the firm’s summer associate program and was a member of the Buffalo Law Review, where he served as the journal’s executive publication editor.

Alexis B. Telga, based in the firm’s Rochester, NY office, concentrates her practice on banking and financial transactions, representing financial organizations in complex structured finance transactions. Additionally, Telga is a member of the firm’s cannabis practice team, where she assists clients in navigating New York’s adult-use cannabis market. She works with clients in various capacities, including assistance with adult-use applications, state licensure maintenance, and regulatory compliance. Telga, a 2023 graduate of Syracuse University College of Law, where she worked as a student attorney in the Syracuse University Transactional Law Clinic and as a teaching assistant for first-year law students in legal writing while also serving as the law student representative to the Syracuse University Board of Trustees and the administrative editor of the Syracuse University College of Law Journal of International Law and Commerce.

Madelyn M. VanDorpe is an associate on the firm’s environment & Energy team and the renewable energy team. Headquartered in Washington, D.C., her practice involves advising clients on state and federal energy and environmental regulations and compliance, including under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Endangered Species Act (ESA) and Clean Water Act (CWA). VanDorpe assists clients in recognizing and addressing environmental risks in transactions for renewable energy projects and in project development and execution. VanDorpe is also a member of the firm’s brownfield and superfund cleanup and redevelopment team, assisting clients with contaminated site investigation and remediation, regulatory compliance, and brownfield redevelopment. While attending law school VanDorpe interned for the Honorable Juan R. Sánchez, Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. VanDorpe focused heavily on environmental law during her time as a student at Villanova University School of Law, where she was published as a staff writer for the Villanova Environmental Law Journal, on which she also served as the production editor.
