Carrol’s background is in regulatory analysis and compliance, bringing a unique perspective to the intersection of law and business. Prior to joining Lippes Mathias, he served as the assistant vice president of compliance surveillance for a global investment bank, gaining experience in navigating complex legal frameworks, developing compliance programs, and conducting in-depth legal research. In this role Carrol offered counsel to banks on regulatory matters, parsing through business data, and helping to guide success in a continuously shifting legal and business landscape. Carrol earned his undergraduate degree from Binghamton University, The State University of New York, and received both his J.D. and MBA from the University at Buffalo School of Law and the University at Buffalo School of Management, respectively.

Godfrey, who has joined the firm’s health care team, provides corporate and regulatory counsel to health care providers, including health systems, hospitals, medical groups, diagnostic laboratories, and individual practitioners. Godfrey gained corporate and transactional experience in a previous role, where he prepared legal documents, performed due diligence reviews, and conducted research. Godfrey attended undergraduate school at Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business, where he was also a member of the sailing team, earning academic all-American and all-MAISA honors.
