Wells, partner, real estate team leader, and member of the firm’s executive committee, has been inducted into the St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute Signum Fidei Society. A member of the Signum Fidei Society is an alumnus of St. Joseph's, distinguished in professional career, community activities and one who shares in the spirit characteristic of the Christian Brothers. Every year St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute honors a group of alumni for their distinguished achievements in their career, community involvement and exemplification of the values of the Brothers of the Christian Schools. This is a St. Joe's lifetime achievement award and the highest accolade bestowed by the school. Wells was honored at the 40th Annual Signum Fidei Society Induction Ceremony, which was held at The Buffalo Club on Saturday, October 21. 

Wells joined Lippes Mathias after spending 11 years as regional general counsel of the country’s largest privately owned commercial real estate developer. With extensive legal experience in commercial real estate development, Wells has represented buyers and sellers of shopping centers, hotels, office buildings, industrial buildings, mixed-use properties, self-storage facilities and mobile home parks in a variety of complex legal transactions. He served as lead counsel on the sale of a $2.2 billion portfolio of 107 shopping centers. He has substantial experience negotiating franchise, license and operation agreements with national hotel chains including Hilton, Marriott, Choice, Starwood and Carlson.
