Lippes Mathias Adds Emma G. Powlin as Associate

Lippes Mathias today announced the addition of Emma G. Powlin, who has joined the firm as an associate in its Rochester office. Powlin, a member of the firm’s sports, entertainment & hospitality practice team, concentrates her practice in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, securities, private equity, sports law, and other general corporate matters. Prior to joining the firm, she represented industrial development agencies across New York State as transaction counsel and provided counsel related to various security registrations and securities matters. As a former professional lacrosse athlete, Powlin has a strong interest in sports law and has assisted NCAA student-athletes with name, image, and likeness (NIL) matters and has authored articles focusing on NIL, NCAA and student-athlete mental health. 

Powlin is a graduate of the State University of New York at Albany and the University at Buffalo School of Law, where she graduated magna cum laude and cum laude, respectively. Powlin is a member of both the New York State Bar Association and the Monroe County Bar Association, and in the community, she sits on the Bivona Child Advocacy Cheers for Children Committee and is an assistant coach for Aces Elite Girls Lacrosse, a top-ranked girls lacrosse club.
