BUFFALO, NEW YORK – Lippes Mathias is pleased to announce that Daniel Brown, senior counsel and member of the firm’s tax controversy practice team, has been appointed Chairperson for the Bankruptcy and Commercial Litigation Committee of the Erie County Bar Association. 

Brown practices in the areas of bankruptcy, tax and commercial litigation. His practice includes representing debtors, creditors and trustees in Chapter 11, Chapter 12 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy reorganization proceedings and Chapter 7 liquidations, as well as representing taxpayers in administrative proceedings and court litigation regarding tax disputes. He regularly represents both debtors and creditors in fraudulent conveyance and other avoidance actions, contractual disputes and secured creditor litigation. Brown was a trial attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice, Tax Division, in Washington, D.C.
