Mr. Stern has extensive experience representing investors, management companies, financial institutions, developers and other entities with commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, sales, financing, and leasing in the retail, office, industrial/flex, multifamily, and large-scale residential sectors.  His real estate transactional experience also includes affordable housing developments, including a multi-state purchase transaction that involved affordable housing projects. Mr. Stern also has experience in municipal law, successfully negotiating contracts with public departments in accordance with city and state ordinances. 
 
Mr. Stern’s experience also includes representing both lenders and borrowers in hundreds of million dollars loan transactions as well as capital raises (Reg D), mezzanine loans, multi-lender participation and syndicated loans, conventional real estate secured lending, and commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS).  
 
He also served as corporate counsel at Whataburger where he was responsible for real estate matters across ten states and 760 restaurants.
