Vincent M. Miranda is an attorney in the Litigation and Labor and Employment Practice Groups. Mr. Miranda focuses his practice in counseling businesses in the most cost-efficient manner through the various issues and disputes presented by employees, competitors, and vendors.

His employment law practice involves all aspects of employment litigation and counseling for employers. Mr. Miranda regularly advises employers regarding HR policies, discipline and termination and wage and hour issues.  He frequently drafts employment agreements and has successfully led several employers through high-stakes separation scenarios without litigation being commenced.  Mr. Miranda represents employers before state and federal administrative agencies such as the New York State and U.S. Departments of Labor, the New York State Division of Human Rights and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Mr. Miranda also has experience litigating employment-related disputes in state and federal courts such as trade secret and restrictive covenant claims and claims arising under various statutes such as Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Mr. Miranda also devotes a significant amount of his practice to general business and commercial litigation. He has helped small and large, public and private companies litigate and settle various business tort and contract based claims. In these and other matters, Mr. Miranda has been involved in all aspects of discovery, motion practice, and settlement negotiations.  Mr. Miranda has also been able to use his experience drafting and negotiating vendor, services, and other types of contracts to help a wide variety of businesses assess their contract disputes.

Prior to joining Lippes Mathias Wexler Friedman, Mr. Miranda was an Appellate Court Attorney with the New York State Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Fourth Judicial Department, where he worked on cases involving commercial law, employment law, criminal law, and arbitration appeals.  During law school, Mr. Miranda served as an Articles Editor for the Buffalo Law Review and gained legal experience working for a large international law firm and a federal magistrate judge.
