Rich focuses his practice on commercial real estate and renewable energy real estate matters including all aspects of sales, acquisitions, financing, and leasing of shopping centers, warehouse and industrial buildings, restaurants, hotels, office buildings, vacant land, and mobile home parks. Rich has represented sellers, buyers, landlords, tenants, lenders, and developers assisting with their commercial real estate needs, including drafting and negotiating contracts, leases, and financing documents, reviewing title, survey and other due diligence materials, and closing complex transactions. Rich also has experience with IDA and tax credit financing and 1031 deferred exchanges. 

Rich is also involved with renewable energy real estate projects where he has assisted clients with the real estate aspects of solar and wind development projects including assessing site control issues and drafting and reviewing site control agreements and reviewing title, survey, and other due diligence. Rich helps clients with drafting and reviewing “green leases” and electric vehicle charging station agreements.

Prior to joining Lippes Mathias, Rich served as a legislative assistant to a New York State Senator.
