Ms. Hurley is a Partner in the Litigation Practice Team at Lippes Mathias LLP in Buffalo, NY. She concentrates her practice primarily in commercial and municipal litigation, contract disputes, land disposition and use, and real property tax enforcement. She also handles real estate transactions and bond underwriting. Ms. Hurley has represented clients in all phases of trial and appellate practice before local, state, and federal courts, as well as alternative dispute resolution forums.
 
Ms. Hurley’s clients include individuals, small and large business enterprises, and municipalities. She has been successful in her role as special counsel to municipalities in a variety of matters including tax lien foreclosure, tax certiorari defense, risk assessment, and project management.
 
Ms. Hurley is qualified to receive Office of Court Administration Part 36 appointments and routinely serves as Referee in surplus money proceedings. Additionally, Ms. Hurley is qualified to serve as Referee in foreclosure matters and as Court Evaluator in Mental Hygiene Law Article 81 Guardianship Proceedings in Supreme Court.

Ms. Hurley is registered with the American Bar Association’s Military Pro-Bono Project Operation Stand-By as a civilian attorney. In this role, she provides civil litigation consultation to military attorneys on New York State-specific legal information in order to further assist their service member clients. Ms. Hurley currently serves as the Fundraising Committee Chair on the Board of the North Carolina Association of Women Attorneys.
