Lippes Mathias Wexler Friedman LLP's Ian A. Shavitz Speaking at Future of Technology Summit, Native American /Alaska-Business Incubator Workshop

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Ian A. Shavitz, a partner with Lippes Mathias Wexler Friedman LLP, is speaking at the Future of Technology Summit, Native American/Alaskan-Business Incubator Workshop on April 9 in Washington, D.C. He is presenting to tribal entrepreneurs who are interested in developing renewable energy projects on tribal lands and in working with the federal government.

 Future of Technology Summit is designed for leaders and decision makers from private industries and the public sector that rely on technology to remain competitive, and to bring innovators, investors, decision makers and consumers together to expand opportunities, build new relationships, find business partners, and secure capital.

 At Lippes Mathias, Mr. Shavitz is the team leader of the firm’s Environment and Energy Practice. He has more than 20 years of experience counseling and advocating for clients on environmental and land use issues associated with developing large-scale infrastructure, energy and commercial projects. Mr. Shavitz has also assisted tribal clients in securing required approvals for development projects located on and off tribal lands, advised on the environmental aspects of land-to-trust applications and leasing of tribal lands, and drafted provisions of tribal codes and regulations.
