Marketing Assistant-Buffalo

The Buffalo office Lippes Mathias Wexler Friedman LLP is seeking an experienced marketing assistant to join our team. We are a firm that values a diversity of ideas and experiences in an atmosphere that is collegial, informal and open. This administrative position will work closely with all attorneys on the implementation of Lippes Mathias Wexler Friedman LLP’s marketing initiatives in a team-oriented and collaborative environment, and will report to the Director of Marketing and Business Development.


  • Assist in preparing marketing materials (brochures, attorney biographies, newsletters, etc.)
  • Track and help coordinate firm sponsorships and charitable contributions
  • Prepare attendee and invitation lists, coordinate invitation process, review and research venues, prepare for and attend events
  • Assist with website maintenance, newsletter development, and client alert design and distribution
  • Write copy and format sponsorship ads
  • Assist with mailing list creation
  • Update data in spreadsheets
  • Source, order, and oversee promotional marketing items
  • Review, update, and develop attorney PowerPoints and other documents
  • Support the process of developing pitches, proposals, and RFP responses.
  • Coordinate with photographers on headshot photo shoots firmwide
  • Update attorney biographies
  • Provide individual assistance to the Director of Marketing and Business Development, and attorneys as requested


  • 3+ years of professional experience in a marketing/communications role, preferably in a law firm
  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline required
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to handle changing project criteria, multiple projects, shifting priorities, and tight deadlines
  • Motivated, detail-oriented, organized team player with positive attitude
  • Experience with graphic design (InDesign) and Constant Contact
  • Fluency in MS Office and Adobe Acrobat required
