IT Compliance Manager, Buffalo, NY

The Buffalo office of Lippes Mathias LLP is seeking an Information Technology Manager who will support the needs of our rapidly growing law firm and help define our internal IT strategy and processes. The position will require superior communication skills to support all Lippes Mathias employees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for assuring that security is a base component of all planning architecture, design, and deployment of the enterprise systems (e.g., application, training, and network infrastructure)
  • Design, implement, maintain, and test security architecture
  • Define security standards, including access limitations, virus protection, password and login identification parameters, remote access, and system timeouts
  • Interact with management and staff to provide technical assistance for continuous improvement of IT solutions
  • Oversee our MDM and Endpoint protection systems to ensure that our devices are secure, up to date, and in line with our policies
  • Create policies and procedures to ensure that our Information Technology architecture is secure and meets client expectations
  • Conducts routine training sessions for end users on appropriate software and equipment usage
  • Ensures technology compliance of the group, the technology, and the business to applicable regulatory requirements
  • Implements the approved company standards for technology across all locations and departments
  • Will consult with department managers to develop system solutions consistent with organizational objectives

Our Ideal IT Compliance Manager will have:
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience working as a systems administrator or similar IT role in a compliance-driven environment
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills to interact with a wide range of users having different levels of computer expertise
  • Expertise in supporting users on Windows devices
  • Experience creating policies and processes for a SOC-2 compliant organization
  • Familiarity with network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, wireless, and VPN systems
  • Excellent communication, typing, and grammar skills
  • Leadership skills and willingness to share your knowledge and expertise.
  • Ability to think on your feet and find fast or lateral solutions to technical issues.
  • Ability to travel to remote offices (may require overnight stays)
  • Knowledge in installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of computer operating systems including windows 10, windows server 2012 up to 2019 and associated architecture/services (incl. Active Directory, Group Policy, etc.)
  • Knowledge in deploying and maintain a Citrix environment (creating templates, updating, deploying additional VDAs)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office 365 applications at the administrative level.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud platform and services
