Lippes Mathias is seeking a mid-to senior-level associate with six to ten years of litigation experience to support the Firm’s Environment and Energy Practice and Commercial Litigation Practice Teams. Litigation experience should include having practiced in state, federal and appellate courts, as well as before governmental and administrative agencies, boards, and commissions

Our environmental practice is nationwide in scope, with sophisticated clients that include developers, financial institutions, energy companies, manufacturers, private equity funds, Indian tribes, state agencies, and municipalities. The ideal candidate would have experience litigating matters concerning federal and state environmental laws, environmental enforcement actions, and contaminated properties. Our commercial litigation attorneys regularly serve clients across the country, ranging from individuals and closely held companies to large multi-national corporations. A few of our focus areas include complex business litigation, corporate dissolutions, labor and employment, consumer finance, government affairs and white collar, real estate, and construction disputes.

Strong and effective analytical, writing, and overall communication skills are required (as this position includes a significant amount of direct client contact). Excellent academic credentials, as well as prior environmental experience and experience in one or more of the above focus areas are a must. The location is flexible for this position; a New York bar license is required.
