The Jacksonville office of Lippes Mathias LLP is seeking an experienced legal assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will support the team in all aspects of the work of the office and the firm. 
 
Responsibilities will include:
  • Assist in the formatting/drafting of legal documents including estate planning documents
  • Maintain time entry for billable hours for attorneys 
  • Create/maintain electronic directories
  • Prepare and send out transmittal letters
  • Prepare and submit expense reports
  • Save, print, scan, and file all transmittal documents on each file
  • Perform general office duties as required
 
Our ideal Legal Assistant will have:
  • 3-5 years’ Legal Assistant experience including experience drafting and preparing estate planning documents, probate, and corporate experience 
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Experience with a Document Management system such as ProLaw
  • Accurate typing speed of 65+ wpm 
  • Experience with editing, revising and drafting of legal documents
  • Ability to complete projects with little direction
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High accuracy rate and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure
  • Ability to use discretion and handle confidential information
  • Ability to meet deadlines and produce high quality work products
