William E. Mathias II

As a senior partner with the firm, Bill concentrates his practice in the areas of business and corporate law and financial transactions. He plies his entrepreneurial skills advising clients on the formation and financing of business entities, and has been involved in a number of merger and acquisition transactions. Bill has substantial experience in the public and private placement of debt and equity securities, and has worked with a number of private investors and venture capital and investment banking firms. He represents both commercial lenders and borrowers in structuring and closing secured loan transactions and work-outs. An active member of the Western New York business and civic community, Bill has participated in a number of complex public-private financing transactions including the Buffalo Hyatt Regency and HSBC Arena projects.
